Project Information:

The emergency generator's diesel exhaust system is routed from the generator room at the rear of the building, across an open area and turning 90 degrees down into the ground and exhausting through a ground level grate.

UNC – EHS has identified this as a violation of NAAQS (National Ambient Air Quality Standards).

These funds will provide for an engineering study which will give the University options to identify the best solution to the problem.
