Project Information:

This elevator is the most heavily used on the whole UNC-CH campus. Elevator # 1505 is a shared elevator that connects MacNider and Old Clinic. This elevator was installed in 1952 and has reached the end of its useful service life. It is obsolete and repairs have been improvised numerous times. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find replacement parts.

Scope of Work

A survey and condition assessment of all key components of this elevator needs to be prepared. A design to renew and update all systems should then be created and implemented. All work needs to be coordinated with Leon (Fred) Gilbert of UNC-CH Work Management Group at 962-1271. A plan to give elevator access between the Old Clinic and MacNider Halls will need to be developed.
