Project Information:

This building has four distinct roof sectors:

Laboratory – Asphalt Built Up Roof

1. Covered Passage - Asphalt Built Up Roof
2. North Kennel - Asphalt Built Up Roof
3. South Kennel - Asphalt Built Up Roof

These roofs were inspected by Rooftop Systems Engineers, an outside consulting engineering firm, as part of the preparation of a condition assessment report. That report is provided here for reference. Also, UNC Design and Construction Guidelines for Employee Fall Protection are provided for easy reference.

Scope of Work

The scope of work covers the following items: 

1. Replace the covered passage way roof.
2. Various repairs to the kennel roofs as delineated in the report by Rooftop Engineers mentioned above.

Exclusions: The scope of work does not include any work to be performed on the main laboratory roof.
