Project Information:

This elevator is one of the most heavily used on the whole UNC-CH campus. Elevator # 7182 is the elevator that connects the Morgue on the top floor of this building to the loading dock at ground level. This elevator was installed in 1973 and is reaching the end of its useful service life.

Scope of Work

A survey and condition assessment of all key components of the elevator needs to be prepared. A design to renew and update all systems should be created and implemented. All work needs to be coordinated with Leon (Fred) Gilbert of UNC-CH Work Management Group at 962-1271. A plan to give elevator access to the Morgue during construction will need to be implemented.
