Project Information:

The Terne metal roof on Person Hall has reached the end of serviceable life. There are active leaks located at the top of the skylights. This roof has been coated several times in recent history. The gutter system allows water to escape from the roof. This project is required not only by the roof's condition but is necessitated by the upcoming comprehensive HVAC renovation project. The HVAC renovation will require roof penetrations for the outside ventilation air intake. The historic nature of this building suggests that the optimal solution for the location of the outside air intake is the roof. The current roof condition, if not replaced, will limit the best option for introducing ventilation air into the building. Therefore, it is recommended that both the HVAC and the roof replacement project be accomplished at the same time.

This project will require the replacement of the entire roof with a copper roofing system, including gutters and flashing repairs.
