Project Information:

The st and 3rd floors are heated by steam radiators or FCUs, and are partially cooled by window air conditioners, FCUs and several small cooling-only ducted systems. These systems are in fair to poor condition, they do not introduce preconditioned ventilation air, and they contribute to poor IAQ and occupant discomfort. Provide fully ducted VAV-reheat systems throughout these floors. Include a central rest room exhaust system and DDC interface to the EMCS. Steam and CHW services are satisfactory. Asbestos insulation was not observed on steam and CHW piping, but may be present.

The attic is not mechanically ventilated. Provide a centrifugal fan with suction ductwork up to the underside of the ridge, and discharge ductwork to a false chimney.
